comma prime is an optional subscription for your comma device. A subscription is not required to use openpilot or any core driving feature.
prime
prime costs $24 per month and includes cellular data service in the United States and Puerto Rico. It also includes one year of drive storage in comma connect and eligible commacare coverage.
prime lite
prime lite costs $14 per month and includes one year of drive storage and eligible commacare coverage, but it does not include a SIM card or cellular data service.
You can use Wi-Fi or install your own active SIM card. Third-party cellular service may require carrier and APN configuration, and comma does not provide setup or troubleshooting support for it.
commacare
Both plans include commacare when the subscription is started within 30 days of receiving a comma four and remains continuously active. See Basic warranty & commacare for coverage details.
You can activate or cancel either plan at any time through comma connect.
